Spider-Man to address Filipinos in biggest Earth Hour switch off in Eastwood City
March 27, 2014
Hollywood actor Andrew Garfield will be sending out a special message to his Filipino fans during the annual Earth Hour switch off in Eastwood City this Saturday, March 29, 2014.
The message from Garfield, who reprises his role as Spiderman in this year’s The Amazing Spiderman 2 alongside real-life girlfriend Emma Stone, will be shown during the Earth Hour switch off at the Eastwood Open Park at about 8:30 p.m.
Spiderman is the official celebrity endorser of the Earth Hour 60+ campaign this year.
The switch off at Eastwood City has been dubbed as the biggest single Earth Hour switch off in Metro Manila with 19 high-rise residential towers, three Megaworld Lifestyle malls, 10 office towers, and the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel participating in the annual event.
Earth Hour is an annual campaign of the World Wide Fund for Nature to increase awareness about the state of the planet and how simple acts like switching off lights can mitigate the problem.
The Amazing Spiderman 2 opens in the Philippines on April 30th.
